On behalf of the BRIO research center at the VUB, we developed an informative project website for G-EPIC.
G-EPIC is a 3-year European research project, funded by the European Commission, to be carried out in 6 European countries. This project aims to identify successful teaching practices that contribute to the development of more self-confidence in primary school students. The focus is on girls who are encouraged to express their own political opinions and engage in future commitments.
Challenge
- A flexible and scalable approach is required as the project spans over 3 years
- All participating universities and team members need to be presented with structured profile pages
- Regular communication about the project's status should be featured on the website
- Podcasts, events, and resources should be easily added
- A European team of project staff should be able to easily modify the website
- Support for the project team is needed
- Limited budget
Result
- A user-friendly and scalable website that can be adapted as the project evolves
- Easily manageable Drupal CMS, with which the VUB and BRIO have been familiar for years
- Integration of social media channels
- Optimized for mobile devices
